Looking for a good Tax preparation professional who could deal with international claims?

Eric Chen asked:

Hi, I am Canadian citizen who is working at USA now. I am looking for a tax professional to prepare my tax claim. Does anyone have good recommendation? I was told that H&R block is good, is it true? Thanks.

I have no experience with H&R Block but I recommend that you ask any tax or accounting firms for someone who has a lot of experience in dealing with dual income taxes. These tend to be found more in cross-border towns or in big city centres. I suggest you ask around as many people tend to know someone who works in the states and can tell you the best place to go to get both of your Canadian and American income taxes done.

I’m assuming you need to file in both Canada and the US. I can reccomend either my preparer in Mississauga, ON or my friend who’s a tax manager for one of the big firms in Windsor, ON.

both options are not cheap.

if u want good tax professional and money is not a concern to you, you may try some big international accounting firms – Ernst & Young, Deloitte, etc – which are in the yellow pages
